Mission Impossible is a week-long mission trip opportunity for all ACS high school students. Mission Impossible was started at ACS by our founder, Rev. Paul House, in 1984. He had a background in construction and a heart for service. It was his desire for students to “Find a need and fill it.”
Over the years, Mission Impossible has helped to build schools, clean up areas where disasters have hit, and help Christian camps with building projects they might not be able to afford without the work of our ACS students. Each experience provides an opportunity for students to be the hands and feet of Jesus as they serve others. Students also gain valuable knowledge and experience in the trades, as they work on building, landscaping, painting, electrical and plumbing projects.
Most importantly, nightly chapels, morning devotions, and working alongside peers provide opportunities to build lasting relationships with others and God. Each year it is amazing to see God at work in the lives of students and how they come back from this experience spiritually changed.
It is our desire for all ACS high school students to have a chance to experience this trip at least once during their HS experience, and if possible, attend all four years. For those who wait and go as seniors, they always come back saying they wish they had gone every year of high school.
