Mrs. Ana Maria Escudero was born in Pucallpa, Peru and came to the United States with her family when she was one. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Aurora University and her Masters Degree from the University of St. Francis specialized in ESL and Bilingual Education. Mrs. Escudero has worked in various classroom settings throughout her teaching career. This includes being a second grade bilingual teacher for five years and English sheltered for 1 year in second grade. She also worked as an ESL teacher in Yorkville for one year working with kinder through 6th grade students. Mrs. Escudero was called to Christian Education in 2024 and loves being able to share the Spanish language and culture with students. She is a member of her church, Iglesia Cristiana Comunidad Hispana, and serves in her worship group and children’s ministry. She lives in Aurora with her husband Andre her two children Grace and Mateo and her dog, Bo.
